George Archer, Masters champion dies at age 65

George Archer, who won the Masters golf tournament in 1969 and at 6 foot 5 ½ inches was at one time the tallest professional golfer on the men’s tour, died today at age 65 in Nevada.

Should I practice before I Golf?

What are your thoughts on hitting a bucket of balls before a round of golf? I have always hit range balls, but two of the guys in my regular foursome like to just show up and tee off. Is there any evidence that practicing before you golf helps you score better?

Any ideas for planning a golf trip?

My golfing group wants to take a golf trip. We are considering something about 5-7 days in length playing golf on a number of different courses. We don’t have thousands to go to Ireland or Scotland like some golfers I know. Do you have any suggestions on great golf locales that won’t break the bank?
