We started with the shot many call "the hardest shot in golf" last time so for this part of the series we move to a golf shot that is quite a bit easier, when the ball is above your feet on an level lie. Hello Golf Nut... I've been having big-time problems with putting in the past few summers, and it's really getting out of hand.. For some reason, I can't keep the club face straight to my intended target on my putts... I always end up pulling the ball to the left of the hole or pushing it to the right. I have tried everything and nothing works. Because of my poor putting, I can't progress at all. It's almost an automatic 3-putt on every hole. Any tips would be appreciated.

Golf Nut, I always seem to hit the golf ball between the heel and the center of the club face . Most of my shots start out straight and then draw about 20-30 feet left. Dear Golf Nut. I don’t have much trouble with bunkers around the green, but how do you get the golf ball consistently out of fairway bunkers with at least a little distance. I can get out of the bunker, but whenever I try to advance the golf ball down the fairway, I seem to hit it poorly.

One of the keys to getting up and down, and thus reducing your golf scores, is lag putting. Just getting the golf ball close enough for a gimme putt on the second one is so important. Here is a pretty neat little drill that is simple and easy to do that will help a lot with this.

Dear Golf Nut, I have a strange situation with my golf swing. I think that it was probably caused by a shoulder injury that I had several years ago and how I compensated for it over the last few years. Golf Nut, my golf swing is making me crazy. I am very inconsistent hitting my driver. I hit my three wood great and feel really comfortable with it. I do pretty well with the irons. But with the driver….one drive may go great with a pretty little draw and the next will be wild or a big slice or hook. When I swing the driver, I feel like I am getting jammed and can’t bring it down to my side and swing through from the inside like I know that I should. Any helpful hints?
