Golf, what a great game.
How many golfers do you know that seem to hate the
game one minute, then be totally obsessed with it
the next? That is the nature of this game that
we love called golf.
One
of the things that I love about golf is that it is a
life sport. If you were an athlete growing up,
male or female, many sports you have to put to the
side as you grow older. Not so with golf, many
golfers keep playing it when their age and their
handicap cross.
Another great aspect of
golf is that it can be a great connection to your
kids or spouse. If you are an avid golfer and
have a child or spouse that shows interest, take
them right away. They may or may not fall in
love with the game like you have, but give them the
chance. It can end up being something that you share
and enjoy for many years to come.
Hitting a golf ball may
at first seem and look like a very strange activity.
But what sport, to someone who hasn't seen it before
doesn't? But one of the things that I love about
golf is the challenge of mastering that one
particular golf club that I just haven't been able
to hit like I want. In addition to being able
to compete against other golfers, you are also
competing against the golf course, the golf clubs,
and even yourself to a degree. It is a
challenging game!
So if you aren't a
golfer and have never given the game a try, go out
and give it one shot. And then come back to
The Golf Nut for advice and help when it starts to
make you a little crazy.
