John Daly was in the news again and it's not good. He has been in a scrap with his wife and the question is, did the golfer attack his wife or did she attack him? I really don't want to get into the details of he said and she said, if you want to read it, you can get the details here John
Daly Saga.

I am just saddened to see it come to this with Daly. He has been a fan favorite and is a tremendous golfer. But I am afraid that once this saga starts, if it lasts very long, we'll hear about it on every news station just like Paris Hilton's trips to and from jail.

The two time major winner has been struggling to get his golf career back together. He seemed on the verge of getting there towards the end of last year and the beginning of this year. But even if he is totally innocent (and John Daly is a character, we all know that) of everything in this instance, the distraction is bound to hurt his comeback.

I like Daly although I don't always agree with his antics. I have always like the fact that he is 100% what you see is what you get and he is just a regular guy who happens to be a golfer. I guess, like most golf fans, I could see some part of myself in his golf game or one of his struggles in life. He was never this perfect looking, perfect golf ball striking machine. And that is what, I believe, made him likeable.

John, good luck in getting this mess straightened out and I hope you can get the golf career turned around.
