I have a question on the rules during match play

Golf Nut, in match play, if a team concedes a putt to Player 1 of oTeam B, can Player 1 go ahead and putt to show his partner the line? Or is this a violation of the rules of golf? Does Team B lose the hole?

Let’s clarify a little about concessions and match play in golf. First, the rules of golf state that a player may concede his opponent’s next stroke as long as the ball is at rest. Second, a concession cannot be declined or withdrawn. If your opponent concedes the stroke then you are considered holed out. If he concedes the hole, then you win the hole.
Now, the rules ALSO state that a player incurs no penalty for holing out his putt after a concession, as long as it does not help his partner in a best ball or four ball match. If that occurs, the partner is disqualified for the hole and the golfer who is putting has to win it on his own.
To clarify, what is best ball and four ball in golf? Best Ball and Four Ball in match play are actually the same thing. It differs in stroke play, but in match play they are both where two golfers play as partners, but play their own golf ball for the entire hole. The lower score of the two after the hole is finished is the score on that hole for the team.
It can be a little confusing because of the differences in stroke play versus match play. Hope that this helps.
