Sometimes golf is about how good your worst golf swing is
Golf is a constant struggle for most amateur golfers. We struggle with our golf swing, think about getting new golf clubs to help our game, even trying every new golf tip that comes along. Sometimes we just need to keep to realize that the game is hard for everyone and there will be days when we need to hang in there.
Some days it’s not about fighting your golf swing, it’s about taking the game that you have with you on the golf course that particular day and finishing the round with the best possible golf score that you can.
Golf is not a game of perfection, it’s a game of consistency. And even the pros aren’t 100% consistent. So I guess the primary golf tips that I am trying to pass along are these:
Number 1: Don’t try to correct your golf swing in the middle of a round. Play with the swing that you have that day. Trying to correct your swing in mid round usually ends up causing you to mess up even more.
Number 2: Use what is working on any particular day. If you can’t hit your driver at all, but your 3 wood feels comfortable, leave the driver in the bag. If your short game is working great, lay up on the par 5’s and score better. Sometimes your golf swing won’t feel worth a flip, but your score will be good. And some days you will hit the golf ball great, but can’t seem to score. Find the part that is working during your round and maximize it to help your golf score.

I have found sometimes that if I get out of the cart and walk a few holes it helps to settle me down.
This really is helpful if it’s not one particular club or part of my golf swing, but if I just can’t seem to make a decent golf shot.
Thanks for this site, I love all of your tips and stories.
Richard.
