What happened to pro golfer John Daly?
Golf Nut, I was always intrigued by John Daly, the professional golfer. I know he has had his troubles and is not your typical PGA tour golfer, but I’m curious what’s going on with him these days. Is he still playing much tournament golf?
I think one of the reasons that you probably haven’t heard as much about John is that he seems to have settled down and isn’t getting publicity for antics like he did earlier in his golfing career. At one point, any time you read anything about professional golf, Daly was in the news with some type of controversy.
After a definite quiet period, he has bounced back with a decent year this year in comparison to some of his recent struggles on the golf course. He is currently 37th on the PGA money list and looking to qualify for professional golf’s season ending Tour Championship for the second year in a row.
Daly fought Tiger well in the recent American Express championship only to lose on the second extra hole. While the putt he missed is probably considered a gimme and some may say he blew it, John was there at the end of the golf tournament with a chance to win against golf’s best mens player.. He also finished second in the BMW International Open golf tournament in Germany in September.
Will John ever regain the fame and notirity that he had early in his golf career? Maybe the question is does he want to? It appears that he has finally found happiness and contentment and is just enjoying golf and life. You can find out more about John and his current schedule at his web site at www.johndaly.com.
Just like to let Vijay Singh know that ever time
he misses a put or hits the ball in the woods, its my fault for I'm always pulling against him.
Ever since he made the statement that if he were
paired with Annika Sorenstam the next day, that he would with draw fron the tourament. I think he
was afraid she would beat him in front of a large
crowd.
I saw the comment by Vijay and I also saw where he tried to correct it.
I think that this was one of those situations that just got twisted out of control a little by the media.
Annika and Vijay are both great golfers and appear to be good people as well.
I won't pull against Vijay but will continue to hpe Annika stays dominant on the golf course.

I agree that they are both great golfers and, I believe, great people.
I don't know the facts on this particular episode, but I would be very surprised if Vijay really had this kind of attitude towards Annika or any of her golfing colleagues.
We really haven't heard of anything similar since, so I think that you are probably right, just media hype.
