Hitting a low golf shot into the wind.

I live in Texas where a lot of times there are pretty good winds on the golf course that I play. Can you tell me the easiest way to hit a low golf shot that cuts through the wind. I always seem to be inconsistent with this golf shot.

There are a few keys to executing this golf shot without a real complicated effort. These tips will help you to get a good shot off with decent distance. I also designed this to keep it real simple to execute.

First you want to use two or three more clubs than you would normally use for the distance you have for this golf shot. You want to choke down on the golf club almost to the end of the grip

Second, slightly close the club face before your grip the club so that when you make contact the club face will closed to the golf ball just a little.

Then you want to swing with a real slow tempo and only take about a half of a backswing. Take the golf club back only to where it is parallel with the ground. And on the follow through only take it to the same height.

This swing and the slightly closed face will allow you to hit a low shot with a slight draw. This should allow your shot to cut through the wind and get an additional little roll at the end of the shot also.

Hope that this helps and thanks for the question.
